A Paralympic ski racer, cancer survivor, video blogger, motivational speaker, mediocre rapper and the author of the book “We Should Hangout Sometime”, Josh Sandquist. He has 150,000-plus viewers on YouTube channel and he is a motivational speaker to colleges, high school and even corporations like Google. From the title itself, it defines the hilarious reality and life happenings of the author. This book is another real life story of romance and fun and life learning’s. The imperfections and innocence of every person is normal, in this story of Josh is a very simple guy that who just want a normal relationship just like normal teenage. The book described how Josh will overcome his low self esteem, over reaction and over thinking that made him realized that he’s living on his choices. My own perspective on this book is to share to everyone that his experience is a great demonstration of all people who have been on his situation and I believe also that everyone had those thoughts like Josh. It’s a very interesting book to read especially to all teenagers.
About the Book
Josh is a simple teenage guy who seeks a normal relationship like others. He’s a guy has very low confidence to express his feelings towards to someone he likes. It’s about his experiences on how he let all the opportunity to have a girlfriend became nightmares. It’s very entertaining on how Josh struggle to ask a girl to go out with him. It takes so much courage and thoughts for him to do a good impression to a girl for asking a date or hanging out with him that leads him to a miserable plan. Josh shared the stories that all girls he met and almost to be his girlfriend but not given a chance because of being sheepish. The stories of all the girls he liked have conclusion and closure which I found very funny and well entertaining. Until then he found a girl that suits to him.
My Favorite Part of the Book
I always love the conclusion and hypothesis he did on this book where all the real answer of girls have heard and all their past been opened and had a closure. I also love how Josh being so naïve on finding his relationship. If he’s only watching some romantic love stories he might can get ideas about relationship and girls. Anyway, I just loved how the book has been written and the entire graph, subtitle and organizational format and other suggestions he got from his friends and colleagues.
Recommendation
Overall I liked this book. It’s very friendly and very easy to read it’s really for teenagers who enjoying their teenage romance. It’s really more on entertainment and fascinating experiences that normally people experiencing on their teen stage. A person who has low confidence for himself would be very perfect to read this book and learn how to overcome self esteem and stand for who they are.
