“STOLEN”
Louise Monaghan
A. INTRODUCTION: Louise Monaghan is the author of a true terrifying journey to save her daughter from being kidnapped in Syria. Through her friends, family and people who helped her to survive her deathly journey, this book was produced and they titled it “Stolen: Escape from Syria”. Louise decided to share her story through this book for the purpose of awareness happening in Syria, the nature of Islamic community and for those people who have been on the same situation or experienced this terrific journey.
B. ABOUT THE BOOK: Louise is an ordinary western girl who enjoys typical life and smart in building up some investment. On this one night at the bar she met a very attractive guy, named Mustafa that made her life upside down. They had a daughter, May, as they live in together their way of life didn’t match at all. Mustafa keep on living like a single wealthy hot guy and for he’s belief is different. When they got separated for a little while, Louise life become normal and she focus on bringing up May and to her business. Until one day, Mustafa came to see her daughter and promise Louise to send back May on time. Louise has a big instinct before that Mustafa may abduct their kid and move to his country that she can’t protect her daughter. But that day came to an end. Mustafa brought her daughter to Syria and Louise cannot do anything but to save her daughter by herself and endure all the pain living in Syria. Until one day she and her daughter got a chance to run away from Mustafa and the thrilling journey together to pass the terror happening in Syria.
C. MY FAVORITE PARTS: One of my favorite parts of the book is how Louise is a very smart on her decisions and by always has presence of mind. She has this women power to show the world that we, women can do everything for the sake of our love ones. She is so brave and intelligent that makes her beautiful and a loving mother. My second favorite part of the book that Louise and May have this connection of a mother and daughter’s love that help their situation became smooth and smart. Their escape together was really breath taking. I also like the part where Louise found a way to escape from Mustafa from the very crucial places to the safe area and finally meeting her family, friends and also the people in the government who helped them.
D. RECOMMENDATION: I believe this is worth reading and for those who want to be educated and entertain this would be a perfect fit for you. Educated in terms of having knowledge about Islamic community because partial of the discussion here is about living in Syria and most people living there are Islam. Entertaining for the reason that keeps you upbeat because of the thrilling moments to escape from a terrific situation of the mother and daughter and for me is that the language used are easy to understand and very well demonstrated. I guess the person who would love to read this book would like to redeem to a life changing journey and somewhat people who knew who have been on this situation.
